but it isn't particularly action oriented. It's an awe inspiring journey into space. Lone Echo is the best in class currently for VR detail and interaction. What it lacks in solid and satisfying VR interactions it makes up for in scale and breadth of the world - beautiful sweeping vistas, coupled with massive modability means you'll get a lot out of the title. The core gameplay mechanics will betray it as a not native to VR title repeatedly, as you flip through the maps and journal to navigate your way through the game, and also sort through thousands of objects via a clunky (and very familiar) menu interface.īut it is the first and best-to-date expansive open world VR Action RPG. Skyrim VR is the ultimate version of Skyrim, but at the same time a game that is overwhelmingly built not for VR first and foremost. I think Lone Echo is a more compelling experience, but Skyrim will provide you with content for longer. If you can l my get one, I’d decide based on how long I wanted this one game to last/how long I expected it to provide value. I saw someone describe it as an epic sci fi movie you star in. The story is really compelling too really well written and the voice acting is AAA. Be sure to check r/skyrimvr for tweaks and mods though, they substantially improve the game.īecause it was designed from the ground up for VR the controller interactions with game props, and the sense of scale and presence, are incredible. The immersion in Skyrim can be great, and if you’ve not already played through all the content on its other 5,000 releases it’s a no brainer. These were the first two I bought after playing the freebies.īoth are amazing.
